Technical Consultant 

Functional Consultant

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conducts business process modeling focused on GBS ERP Best Practices.

  • Translates business needs to functional solutions using state-of-the art modeling tools.

  • Creates quality, comprehensive, timely customer-centric documentation.

  • Presents to and works with C-level, either solo or as part of an implementation team.

  • Teams with GBS consultants, project manager and additional GBS and 3rd party resources to research gaps and propose solutions.

  • Tests, trains and troubleshoots system with customer, providing initial level of support for assigned product.

  • Advise customers when required on additional products and services.

  • Responsible for timely entry of time and expenses in project accounting system.

  • Possess accurate estimating skills for various project tasks. Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and anticipate issues or conditions that may impact the original estimate or project budget.

  • Must be able to travel on an international basis.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – Business, Accounting, Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Knowledge in Accounting and/or Supply Chain Processes

  • Entry level candidates are welcome to apply.  Previous relevant experience is a plus

  • Must be willing to travel

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) in English

  • Must display professionalism and confidence

  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL database and Crystal Reports is a plus.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ability to analyze detailed design specifications, provide feedback, and perform the work required

  • Ability to analyze detailed existing code, provide feedback and perform adjustments to the code

  • Analyzes requirements and clarify scope and breadth of work tasks with business analysts and product managers.

  • Reviews code and perform an adequate level of unit, functional and integrated testing to ensure quality standards are attained.

  • Learns and employs knowledge of the business segment targeted by the software application.

  • Analyze and understand current customization and bring them into standard coding.

  • Communicate with co-workers, quality assurance staff, and documentation staff to clarify program design details, exchange and verify information, and coordinate work activities.

  • Participate in process assessment programs and make recommendations to improve software development methods.

  • Complete and maintain basic work and project records.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Educational attainment equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

  • Windows Operating System and SQL Server implementation skills

  • Knowledge of programming techniques and structures as they apply to a multi-user environment.

  • Knowledge of database usage and optimization techniques

  • Knowledge of data normalization techniques.

  • SQL experience database programming

  • SSRS/Crystal reporting tools experience

  • .net programming/Sharepoint development is a plus

  • Knowledge of customer service principals and techniques.

  • Schedule, organize and complete work in accordance with deadlines.

  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, quality assurance staff, system users, documentation staff and management

  • Work effectively in a team

  • Check work for acceptability and conformance with standards.
